Shopping Convenience Deli breaks ground on new building Pecan Street Deli owners, James and Robin Atkins, celebrated the groundbreaking of their new location off 10th and Pecan streets with employees, friends and members of the Greater Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce, April 19. The new 3,500 sq. ft. restaurant is expected to be completed by November and will feature a 17 ft. salad bar, a drive-thru lane, additional indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking. “Pflugerville has been good to us and we look forward to giving back to the community,” James said. The project is awaiting final approval and permitting from the City of Pflugerville. Located near the Pflugerville Community Library and the John Pfluger Realty building, the Atkins hope the open land surrounding their project – most of which is owned by the city – will be a nice place for people to eat and shop. Another retail project adjacent to the new restaurant is planned, and James said the entire area will have connectivity and shared parking.
